They also oversee the Canada Day fireworks celebrations and participate in local community events, such as the Perth Fair, KidFish, Remembrance Day Ceremonies and the Santa Claus Parade.

Youth Book Nook

The Youth Book Nook, a satellite young adult section of the Perth and District Union Public Library, offers a diverse collection of youth literature. Located in our youth centre, the Youth Book Nook provides an inviting space for young readers to explore, discover, and indulge in the joy of reading.

The Library has agreed to update and supply the Community Directory – an excellent resource guide to services in our community.

Restorative Practices

Lanark County Community Justice (LCCJ) is a nonprofit charity, the mission of which is to provide and promote the community use of restorative practices.

LCCJ’s youth and adult community justice diversion program has facilitated restorative justice forums that bring people together to repair the harm caused by conflict and crime, building community, and strengthening relationships.

Over the years, LCCJ has provided numerous other programs: restorative practices in schools, youth centres, workplaces, service agencies, families, parenting relationships, faith groups, and civic clubs/organizations.

Individual and group counselling

Open Doors for Lanark Children and Youth provides vital support for youth facing mental health challenges, offering one-on-one counseling sessions, free of charge.

In conjunction with these private appointments, youth can also participate in group counselling sessions, building emotional resilience through peer support.

Perth Youth Centre

A safe and supportive space where local youth in grades 6-10 can elevate their skills and self-confidence, explore new opportunities, and develop positive relationships while getting more involved in the community. The Perth Youth Centre runs a registered afterschool program, followed by a youth drop-in hour. A shuttle service to the centre is available, and dinner is served nightly.

Queer Connection Lanark

Queer Connection Lanark (QCL) is a 2SLGBTQI+ organization with its purpose of not only increasing the visibility of the 2SLGBTQI+ community in Lanark County but also advocating to ensure everyone in Lanark County is seen.  With a focus on fostering belonging and celebrating diversity, QCL supports the rights of 2SLGBTQI+ individuals and provides an inclusive and welcoming support network.

During the school year QCL utilizes the hub’s shared office on a bi-weekly basis to provide support to parents and/or youth.

Second Harvest

Second Harvest rescues surplus food from farms, retailers and restaurants and distributes it to not-for-profits and charities. The food Second Harvest recovers here in Perth is redirected to the Perth Community Services Hub ensuring youth and their families who come to our programs have access to free and healthy food.

Our shared boardroom and office space provides a professional environment for meetings, workshops, and collaborative projects. Equipped with hybrid meeting equipment and high-speed internet, these spaces are a convenient and cost-effective solution for all your business and networking needs.
